FUCHSIA (HARDY VARIETIES). Deciduous.
They will grow in most soils,
but prefer good, deep soil and semi-shade.

We do not put hardy Fuchsias on sale until the last of the spring frosts
have gone.
They should be planted deeper (the pots all have instructions on them).
The first winter they should be regarded as tender; use sackcloth, similar
open weave material, or straw to protect the lower-stems and base until
spring.
Never tidy-up hardy Fuchsias before new growth arises in spring.
Another year let the old leaves dry and fall between the stems to create a
perfect natural protection against winter and spring frosts.
HEBE. Evergreen.
Most Hebes like a well-drained position in full sun (we do have a few which
tolerate shade).
